The Rotary Club of Aurora First Light is a member of Rotary International, one of the first humanitarian organizations, and is a part of over 34,000 Rotary Clubs in more than 200 counties and geographical areas with 1.2 million members worldwide. We support a variety of local and global initiatives and would love to tell you about them. We meet weekly on Wednesdays at "First Light" 7am-8am at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora.

Polio Walk t-shirts are in production!! We are excited to walk with Oswego, Montgomery and United Clubs on October 24th at Waubonsie Lake from 9:45-11 a.m. Join us for the walk to learn about polio and the eradication efforts by Rotary International and our Rotary District 6450 clubs. Saturday, October 24th is World Polio Day and Rotary is holding a walk for awareness and support. Anyone can walk. We are asking for a registration donation of $20 that will provide you with a t-shirt and a donation toward the End Polio Now campaign. Please use the registration qr code to register, pay and provide your t-shirt size. We are looking forward to having a full walking path at Waubonsie Lake Park!

Aurora First Light held our 2nd Annual Golf Fundraiser in September. We were blessed with another beautiful fall day! We were also blessed with a terrific, fun and generous group of golfers who made our day perfect! Chris welcomed and thanked the group and gave the start your engine signal and the day began. Aurora First Light was grateful to hear from Elizabeth Nunez, Violence Prevention Specialist, from the Kane County Health Dept. She updated us on how the grant they received is helping them to build and improve violence prevention and support programs for students in the East and West Aurora School Districts. We also received a quick update from Liliana with Kane County Health Department Drug and To***co Program. She told us about their check of all places that sell to***co, v**e, cannabinoids, kratom products and smoking equipment and findings/violations.

Our member, Jose, is holding a Taste of Nations event to raise funds to help Fresh Start City Church to make repairs from flooding. Please call 630-506-1980 to place your order for SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH between 12 and 3 p.m. Please order your $20 plate for your lunch or dinner, or maybe both and help this wonderful organization make its necessary repairs so they are able to continue their great mission.

We have 1 WEEK LEFT until our 2nd Annual Fundraiser!

We ONLY have 2 Foursome spots left and we still have room to join us at 4:30 for the steak dinner and raffles!

Please use the qr code to register for Aurora First Light's 2nd Annual Golf Fundraiser happening on September 14th. We have upped our game by having a steak dinner after a fun day of golfing.

Join us for a day of FUN and helping us to raise funds so we are able to continue another year of making a difference within our community.
