Hey gang! Here’s your chance to get a uniform! The 2007-2016 uniforms and the 2017-2025 uniforms are available!

Attention former Pride of Aurora Band Members!

Want a piece of your band history? Come to the band uniform sale and purchase one (or two!) former Pride of Aurora band uniform sets!

The sale will be held from 8:00–11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, in the Aurora JUNIOR HIGH band room.

Uniform sets will be sold for $25 each and include the jacket (with gauntlets, sash, and/or buckle as applicable), bibbers, and hat with plume (as supplies last). Individual pieces will not be sold separately.

Another one of our seniors!

Aurora R8 is proud to recognize Aurora High School senior Rachel Antonuk as graduation approaches!

During high school, Rachel has been involved in Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Science Club, Art Club, and NHS, staying active in both music and academic organizations.

After graduation, Rachel plans to attend Missouri Southern State University to earn a degree in radiology. She plans to begin her career as an X-ray technician and later return to school to become a vascular sonographer.

One of her favorite high school memories was going on trips with the jazz band. A teacher who made a lasting impact on her was Mr. Hicks, who created a space where students felt supported and could always find something to smile about. Her favorite class was Jazz Band.

We are proud of you, Rachel, and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. Once a Houn Dawg, always a Houn Dawg!

Another Top Dawg Student Honoree from the 2026 Aurora Chamber of Commerce Banquet is Jasmine Koehler. She is a DAR Good Citizen and received multiple nominations from teachers and staff this past year. She lettered in Band and has volunteered for Come and Dine throughout her high school career. She is a member of the National Honor Society and holds a 4.0 GPA. She has earned numerous FFA awards at the regional, state, and national levels. She will be honored for her various accomplishments later this year at Aurora High School.

Aurora R8 is proud to recognize Aurora High School senior Melissa Barnett as graduation approaches!

During high school, Melissa has been involved in Band, Jazz Band, NHS, Lit Club, and FTA, staying active in both music and academic organizations.

After graduation, Melissa plans to attend Missouri Southern State University to study music education with the goal of becoming a band director.

One of her favorite high school memories was the band and choir trip to Washington, D.C., when the group visited Medieval Times and she was named the Queen of Love and Beauty. A teacher who made a lasting impact on her was Mr. Hicks, especially through her experience in Jazz Band.

We are proud of you, Melissa, and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. Once a Houn Dawg, always a Houn Dawg!

Aurora R8 is proud to recognize Aurora High School senior Dameon Blair as graduation approaches!

During high school, Dameon has been involved in band and Esports, combining his musical interests with teamwork and competition while building lasting friendships along the way.

After graduation, Dameon plans to attend college to study music composition and music theory, pursuing a future centered around his passion for music.

One of his favorite high school memories was visiting the Riverwalk with the band during his freshman year. His favorite class has been band, and teachers who made a lasting impact on him include Mr. Hicks and Mrs. Hoenshell.

We are proud of you, Dameon, and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. Once a Houn Dawg, always a Houn Dawg!

Aurora R8 is proud to recognize Aurora High School senior Tabitha Spencer as graduation approaches!

During high school, Tabitha has been involved in Marching Band, Concert Band, SRTC, and JROTC, developing leadership, teamwork, and dedication through a variety of experiences.

After graduation, Tabitha plans to attend Missouri State University in Springfield to major in anthropology.

One of her favorite high school memories was senior night for band, when sharing a favorite band memory brought one of her friends to tears. A class that made a lasting impact on her was Mr. Barnett’s government class.

We are proud of you, Tabitha, and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next. Once a Houn Dawg, always a Houn Dawg!
