God birthed Sons of Covenant, Inc. (SOC) through a middle aged man who had just given his life to Christ. He was full of zeal and passion, yet had no idea or model of what a true Godly man looked like, or how to begin his new journey. I am JC Hendrix, and I am that middle aged man God called. After attending numerous men’s bible studies and conferences, that were very beneficial, I quickly realize
d what was waiting for us when we returned home, were the same life challenges and obstacles that initially drove us to these conferences. Men would get fired up and would be encouraged for a weekend, only to leave these events with few tools, limited training, and inadequate support to effect the desired change in our environments. Men, just like me, were hungry and filled with the desire to be victorious and successful Christian men, but did not know how. We were searching for answers on how to become faithful husbands, committed fathers, dedicated friends and successful providers. Then, the Lord revealed to me what was missing. We were so busy trying to find God from our worldly position as a man, rather than from the spiritual perspective of a son. In order understand sonship, I had to submit to an earthly spiritual father in order to experience God as my Heavenly Father. When I learned that God was my Father, I also realized that I had an inheritance. My inheritance showed me that I already had what I longed for – to be truly loved and cared for, just as I am. Once I discovered this, I gained the ability to become a faithful husband, a committed father, a dedicated friend, a successful provider, and a true son of my Heavenly Father. This allowed me to finally walk in my precise purpose and identity afforded me by Jesus Christ. Once I realized who I was, I started teaching other men. SOC became its own ministry in March of 2011. Prior to its establishment as its own ministry, SOC was a ministry of Colorado Christian Fellowship (CCF) in Aurora, Colorado. I would like to acknowledge and thank Apostle Phillip F. Smith, Jr., Senior Pastor of CCF and my spiritual father, for believing in, and trusting me to lead the men of his church through the awesome process of becoming true sons of God. Now it’s time to offer Sons of Covenant to our nation and the world.
