πŸ₯šπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Happy National Egg Day on June 3! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ₯š

Did you know?
πŸ” A hen can lay around 250–300 eggs each year.
πŸ₯š Eggs are packed with high-quality protein, vitamins, and minerals.
🚜 Indiana farmers help provide safe, nutritious eggs to families across the country every single day!

Behind every carton of eggs are dedicated poultry farmers and farm families who work early mornings, late nights, and every day in between to care for their animals and provide food for our communities.

Agriculture can also come with stress, uncertainty, and long hours. As we celebrate National Egg Day, let’s also remember to support the people behind our food system and check in on our farm families and neighbors. πŸ’š

The Purdue Farm Stress Team provides resources, support, and connections for Indiana farmers and rural communities. No farmer should feel alone.

Healthy Monday #21 in 2026 encourages gardening! I love the fact that this article references The Blue Zones. We can learn so much from others. Comment something about your garden.

For aging and older adults, gardening provides a meaningful source of daily physical activity, so much so that the American Heart Association categorizes it as a good source of moderate exercise.

Read a newspaper or a book. In findings by the University of Sussex, it was discovered that reading a newspaper or book reduced stress better and faster than listening to music, going for a walk, or sitting down with a cup of tea. Psychologists explain the mind concentrates on reading which distracts the mind causing tensions to ease in the muscles and heart. Destress with a local newspaper or a good book.
