Welcome - Tonga Soa Preventing S*x Trade through teaching trade skills The S*XUAL tourism and trafficking trades in many countries are out of control.

When you do searches on the Internet they list the top 5 countries for this, although Madagascar doesn’t show up as a popular destination currently it is often un-surveyed land. Promotion and marketing is very strong in this Industry. {S*xual tourism is when people come from other countries and search for s*x in all variations.} So much so that certain areas are traveled more densely and made or

marketed through much of our common social media sites. Mothers tell their children, both girls and boys that they make more money for the family out on the streets than in school, keeping them from Education and a child’s life. So from a very early age children understand that their value is in what they bring into the family in the form of funds. Funds so that they can by food, funds so they can pay for shelter and funds to buy necessary items once they have been used up. I have seen this first hand in many countries and it breaks my heart each and every time. I know personally of children in this industry starting at the age of 7! With all this being said, we could be westerners and go into all these areas telling them what they are doing is wrong or immoral, but they look at us like we are crazy. They don’t mind doing S*X work because it feeds them, shelters them and provides for them. Why not, instead, WELCOME them one at a time, teaching the nationals how to care for the women and children and get them off the streets, teaching them trades, educating them, helping them to find their values as a person? I am determined to DO SOMETHING, would you? With this business being a Non-Profit and Non Governmental Org (NGO) I hope to take in donations (tax deductible to residents of the USA) to get things moving. I will create a model of multiple businesses (Bed and Breakfast, Trucking, exporting) that will not only create jobs in 3rd world areas but a portion will be given back into their own women and children, city by city, town by town and country by country. My hope in bringing micro business is to teach nationals how to run the businesses effectively and efficiently, give of their excess and help to support and run care centers for women and children. Madagascar is a logical first place to set this up due to my past and experience there. When we are ready we can take the model to other countries. My hope for the care centers is that they would be small but all over the place. Somewhat like a community center with people attending classes during the day, and then also the ability to house people that need it over night, until they are ready for employment. They would learn how to read and write, and about health issues. They would learn where to find their true identity. This is still a work in progress, I am a work in progress, not perfect by any means but I have a passion for widows and orphans and for people who feel trapped, my goal is to help them to feel WELCOMED, bringing HOPE one person at a time.

Our Story

The S*XUAL tourism and trafficking trades in many countries are out of control. When you do searches on the Internet they list the top 5 countries for this, although Madagascar doesn’t show up as a popular destination currently it is often un-surveyed land. Promotion and marketing is very strong in this Industry. {S*xual tourism is when people come from other countries and search for s*x in all variations.} So much so that certain areas are traveled more densely and made or marketed through much of our common social media sites. Mothers tell their children, both girls and boys that they make more money for the family out on the streets than in school, keeping them from Education and a child’s life. So, from a very early age children understand that their value is in what they bring into the family in the form of funds. Funds so that they can by food, funds so they can pay for shelter and funds to buy necessary items once they have been used up. I have seen this first hand here in Madagascar and it breaks my heart each and every time. I know personally of children in this industry starting at the age of 7! With all this being said, we could be foreigners and go into different areas telling them what they are doing is wrong or immoral, that would be one way. WELCOME desires to create community and relationship and this is a longer journey. Locals don’t mind doing S*X work because it feeds them, shelters them and provides for sometimes even many others. Why not, instead, WELCOME them one at a time, teaching the children and adults marketable trades, recycling, sewing, handicrafts, gardening, farming, tending to a home, household chores etc... WELCOME cares for women and children, when possible PREVENTING them from living on the streets, PREVENTING them from offering their children and their own bodies to people for some monetary value. WELCOME desires to teach trades, educating them in hygiene, health care and guiding them to find their value as a person! WE are WELCOME and WE are determined to DO SOMETHING, would you? WELCOME is a Non-Profit {Non Governmental Org (NGO)}, locally registered here as an Association, WELCOME -TONGASOA. WE hope to take in donations (tax deductible to residents of the USA) to get things moving. WE hope to create a model of multiple businesses {Bed and Breakfast, Recycling Artisan products for sale, Eateries, Farming (produce and animals), possibly exporting} that will not only create jobs in 3rd world areas like ours but a portion will be given back into their own women and children, city by city, town by town and country by country. Our hope in bringing micro business is to teach nationals how to run the businesses effectively and efficiently, give of their first fruits, save (a foreign concept to many) and help to support and run care centers for women and children. Madagascar is a logical first place to set this up due to my past and current experience here, not to mention the fact that my husband is MALAGASY, a huge bonus for us. When doors are opened we hope to take the model to other countries. Our hope for the care centers is that they would be small but all over the place. Somewhat like a community center with people attending classes during the day, and then also the ability to house people that need it over night, until they are ready for employment. They would learn how to read and write, and about health issues. They would learn where to find their true identity. This is still a work in progress, We are a work in progress, not perfect by any means but having a deep passion for widows and orphans and for people who feel trapped, with a goal to help them to feel WELCOME, bringing HOPE and community one person at a time.
