Residents,

We're pleased to announce that the pool is officially open for the season!

We do want to share a few updates so everyone knows what to expect:

Pool Temperature: Our heaters have been running continuously for the past 10 days; however, the extended stretch of near-freezing overnight temperatures has made it difficult to bring the water up to its ideal temperature. The pool is currently sitting at approximately
75°F. As the weather warms, the heaters will catch up and we expect conditions to improve quickly.

Restroom Renovation Update: The bathroom restoration is nearly complete. Due to supply chain delays affecting lighting fixtures and toilets, we are working through the final items:

- Lighting: Fixtures are on order and expected to be installed by Friday, May 30. In the meantime, there is plenty of natural light during daytime hours.
- Toilets: We are ensuring at least one toilet in each restroom is functional today. All remaining units are scheduled to be fully operational by Monday, May 26.

We understand these aren't ideal conditions for opening weekend, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. These delays were caused by factors outside of our control, and we've been working diligently to resolve them as quickly as possible.

📣📣DUMPSTER DAY COMING JUNE 21st! 📣📣

Saturday, June 21st, 9am-Noon! Sorrel Ranch Pool Parking lot.

THE POOL PARKING LOT WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAY, JUNE 21st TO POOL VISITORS!

We are excited to offer this opportunity to our residents again for all our spring clean up needs! We will be REQUIRING residents to sign up for a time slot to keep the flow of traffic moving and to allow each of our residents who would like to participate, an opportunity to do so.

If you do not sign up for a time slot, you will not be allowed to participate. No exceptions!

To participate you will be required to:

• Sign up for ONE time slot on the sign up form

• Arrive to the pool parking lot 5 minutes BEFORE YOUR DESIGNATED TIME and follow the traffic requirements to check in

• Check in with the attendant, ID IS REQUIRED!

• You will have 15 minutes to unload once your time slot starts

• Review the list of prohibited items that will not be allowed

• There is a zero tolerance policy for trying to bypass any of these requirements.

We had an amazing turn out for our 2024 events and are excited to provide this service again to our Residents!

Heads up, motorists! A three-way stop intersection is now in place at E. Quincy Ave. and S. Harvest Rd. near the Fairgrounds. Arapahoe County, in cooperation with Aurora, Colorado City Hall, installed flashing stop signs this week. The new intersection is an interim safety improvement, as the long-term traffic signalization improvement is in the design stages. Questions can be directed to our Transportation Division at 720-874-6500.

—Message from the board:

In addition to the change in the property manager, the previous HOA president has resigned due to personal reasons. In a emergency meeting Charlie Buchanan was voted in as interim President.

The other item discussed in the emergency meeting was keeping the pool open past the communicated closing date. The vote was made to keep the pool open for an additional two weeks, with contingencies. One being the weather must have a average high for that week of ~83 or higher. We will also be checking the card reader to make sure that the pool is being used.

The next two board meetings will be on September 14 at 6:30pm and October 12th at 6:00pm. The first meeting will be to discuss and ratify the budget. The second meeting will be for the annual meeting and elections. All board positions will be open this year for election. We are looking forward to seeing attendance numbers trending upwards and encourage all residents to attend and voice your opinion.

We have scheduled the second garage sale for September 15th and 16th.

We are still looking into the options for a neighborhood dumpster for a weekend drop off.
