Help needed TODAY - May 29 - prior to 3:30 PM!
Hello IAGC advocates for advanced learners! We have an urgent, time-sensitive request. It is the end of the Illinois General Assembly's legislative session and things are moving FAST!
We just learned that SB 3533, with provisions to help Illinois schools better serve twice-exceptional learners, just passed the Senate and has been placed on the agenda for a last-minute House Education Policy Committee hearing TODAY!
Please take a moment to sign a witness slip as a PROPONENT prior to the committee hearing: https://ilga.gov/House/hearings/details/3056/23181/CreateWitnessSlip/?legislationId=166567&GaId=18&View=Create
Here are instructions if you need guidance filling out the witness slip: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1w58mLZc_z7WPybjRhxktUqe_x89xwreYkdo_3XRuP8I/edit?tab=t.0
We are very excited, because there is still a chance this bill can pass both houses and be signed by the Governor this summer!
