Thanks to all the Telecommunicators that we interact with. We get to work with them in Beaufort County as well as Pamlico County and believe me when I say they have a huge responsibility on their hands when that call for help comes in. They have to take the info they get and try to decipher it and send the appropriate units to the emergency. They are vital to us all and we can't thank you enough for all you do!!!

The fire service lost a legend this morning. The Firetruck Guru, Ronald Inge, passed away after a hard fought battle against cancer. His name is known in almost every department in Eastern North Carolina, and probably many other states too. He not only sold us trucks and equipment over the years, he also came down and trained with us. He was someone who I considered not only a Brother, but also a friend, a term I don't use that often. All of us with Aurora VFD are sending prayers to Taylor, Lori, and the rest of his family, and work family at Fire Connections Inc., during their time of loss. Ronald's suffering is over and I'd expect he's riding the tailboard of a rig up in Heaven today.

Aurora VFD, Aurora Emergency Medical Services, and NC North Carolina State Highway Patrol Officers responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries last night/early today. Units arriving on scene found one vehicle in the roadway and the other in the ditch down the road. All occupants were out of their vehicle and injuries were minimal. Multiple patients needed to be transported for evaluation so Aurora VFD members brought the second ambulance and assisted Aurora EMS by providing drivers. The decision to bring our second ambulance allowed the south side of Beaufort County to remain having ems coverage out of Blounts Creek Volunteer Fire Department with EMS4.
