Fashion With Purpose at Santori Library!

The library is hosting a Fashion With Purpose Workshop for grades 6-12, where participants will work with a local drag performer who also happens to be a costume designer and seamstress to create a dress from upcycled materials. Once it’s finished, the dress will be displayed here at the library!

This program was inspired by the traveling Let Freedom Read Dress exhibit, which highlights the connections between American and Q***r history and the importance of protecting our freedom to read.

Aurora Pride is excited to join Plainfield Pride’s Pride-o-ween! 👻

We’re looking for awesome volunteers to help us bring some Pride spirit to our booth. Whether you love connecting with the community, handing out goodies, sharing resources, or just want to spend a fun day celebrating with us — we’d love to have you on the team! 💜

Come dressed for the occasion, bring your Pride, and help us make Pride-o-ween a celebration to remember! 🎃

Date of the event: Saturday October 10th, 2026. We will need volunteer help from 8am-6pm. You do not need to stay the full time as it will be done in 3-4 hour shifts.

You asked, and we listened! 🎉 JPN’s Joliet PrideFest is officially expanding to 12 PM - 10 PM!!!

Get ready for 10 hours of celebration, entertainment, music, dancing, and Pride at Bicentennial Park! 🎤🎪💃🎶

We’ll have entertainment happening throughout the day, with an incredible lineup of singers, bands, dancers, aerial acrobats/circus acts, fire dancing, line dancing, and more!

Today we welcome our friends at Aurora LGBTQ+ Advisory Board for their monthly Rainbrew Rendezvous, and we whipped up a sweet treat for the occasion. 🏳️‍🌈

Fruity pebbles cake soaked in 4 leches cereal milk, garnished with whipped cream, fruity pebbles bark and a sweet marischino cherry. 🍒
