There is something special about watching young people step outside their comfort zones, make new friends, discover new talents, and create memories that last long after summer ends.

Whether it's trying something for the first time, sharing laughs around a campfire, or building confidence through new experiences, camp has a way of making a lasting impact.

‼️‼️💯The new Aurora corps Lieutenants have been announced effective July 1st Lts. Orippa and Cesar Rodriguez will be the new corps officers and Pastors of the Aurora corps!!! Their welcome will be Sunday July 5th at 10am All are welcomed‼️‼️💯🥳🥳🥳🥳👏🏽👏🏽

We had a blast this weekend at our Teen lock-in. 13 teens accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. Shout to our youth leader Emmanuel, Jj, our Young Adult Leader Leo for blessing our youth. We are thankful for their leadership, we thank the people that supported them in making this happen!!!

‼️This morning we had a full house!!! There was a powerful move of the Holy Ghost, as we commissioned 17 New Soldiers into to the ranks of The Salvation Army Aurora Corps. It was a moment of commitment to the Lord as well as gratitude for what He has done for us. Please continue to pray for the ministry here in Aurora!!! Pray for the new soldiers that their fervor for the Lord not diminish but that the Lord continue add as His word says‼️

🔥Esta mañana tuvimos casa llena. Hubo un poderoso mover del Espíritu Santo, al comisionar a 17 nuevos soldados a las filas del Cuerpo de Aurora del Ejército de Salvación. Fue un momento de compromiso con el Señor, así como de gratitud por todo lo que Él ha hecho por nosotros. Por favor, continúen orando por el ministerio aquí en Aurora. Oren por los nuevos soldados, para que su fervor por el Señor no disminuya, sino que el Señor continúe añadiendo, tal como dice Su Palabra🔥

Celebrate with us! National Donut Day started with The Salvation Army. During World War I, the "Donut Lassies" served donuts and encouragement to American soldiers. Today, we honor that legacy by supporting veterans in our community. Enjoy a donut, celebrate a tradition of service, and help provide hope and assistance to those who have served.

We had a powerful spiritual retreat in Grand Lakes Colorado!! There is revival in our young adults!! We thank Lt. Melissa for making this come true for the Young Adults of the Aurora Corps. We thank our amazing DYS’ Jackie and Dan for their guidance and support and we thank our leadership for the support for making this come true!

National Donut Day is almost here! 🍩 This year, on June 5, we’ll celebrate Donut Day across the nation.

Donut Day was created to honor the Salvation Army’s “Donut Lassies,” who served fresh donuts and support to soldiers during World War I.

Feeling inspired? Here’s the original WWI-style donut recipe to try for yourself:

Yield: approximately 12 donuts

Ingredients:
• 1 large egg
• 1 cup flour
• ½ cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• pinch of salt
• ⅓ cup milk
• oil for frying

Directions:

Combine all ingredients (except the oil) to make the dough.
Thoroughly knead the dough, roll smooth, and cut into rings less than 1/4 inch thick. (Get creative—Salvation Army Donut Lassies used whatever they could find, from baking powder cans to coffee percolator tubes!)
Drop the rings into hot oil, turning slowly several times until golden brown.
Remove the donuts and allow excess oil to drip off.
Dust with powdered sugar, let cool, and enjoy!

This Sunday was truly special Lts. Melissa and Carl Esquivel dedicated Alessi and Jack. The Alvarado family joined the church 8 months ago and decided to dedicate their children back to the Lord! This is the last baby dedication the Esquivels will lead at the Aurora Corps as the corps officers! Stay tuned next Sunday we will be commissioning 17 new soldiers!!! We also prayed for one of our Young Adults who will be working at camp all summer!!!
