The Barnstormers flying field is looking great.
Now we just need the weatherman to cooperate.

For those that may not know, we have a 1st place regional champion in the club!

Fred Kruger won 1st place last fall in the regional control line championship (held at the Aurora airport). He and his Heinkel He 219 placed first in 1/2A scale. I've seen that plane in person and it's very cool! Check out the article on page 84 of the latest (Feb 2026) edition of Model Aviation. Congratulations to Fred!

Last summer Fred gave a control line demonstration the field that was pretty amazing to see. Maybe we can get him to do it again this year.

We had an audience at the Yard flying field this week.

In the Winter, several of us fly indoors at “The Yard” in Naperville.
Flying is allowed Wednesday mornings.
