🎫 Attend a concert

You don’t need to go very far to attend a concert. Many local concerts are being held in nearby venues or public parks, which is a great way to encourage new artists while enjoying some good music.

🎸 Play an instrument

Being able to play the guitar has been your dream ever since you were a kid. Take this opportunity to give yourself the motivation to start learning to play any instrument. Learning to play a new instrument is not only a great exercise for your brain but also a neat way to impress people.

🎤 Plan a karaoke night
Sing your hearts out at the local karaoke, and have a blast! Just because you won’t sound as good as Adele doesn’t mean you can’t have fun singing. Plan a karaoke night with your friends and let the music take control.

We had a great turnout for our first rehearsal of the season but we have room for more. It is not too late to join for the fall/holiday season. We have some fun new music to learn and perform. We welcome singers from high schoolers to retirees. There are no auditions to join. If you are interested in joining please come to our next rehearsal tomorrow, Monday September 7 at St Marks Lutheran Church on the corner of Galena Blvd and Edgelawn Dr in Aurora. Registration will begin at 6:30 pm and rehearsal will begin at 7:00 pm. Please come and learn more about us and our June 2027 domestic performance tour. The Fox Valley Festival Chorus Fall Seaon begins tomorrow, August 31. Registration begins at 6:30 pm at St Marks Lutheran Church, 27 S Edgelawn Dr, Aurora, IL. New members are welcome, no audition necessary. The theme of our holiday concert will be announced as well as the destination of our 2027 performance tour. To sing on the tour you must participate in both this fall season and the spring 2027 season. Participation in the performance tour is voluntary.
Please bring a pencil and some water and prepare to learn some new music and to make some new friends. 🎶😀

The first rehearsal for our upcoming season will be in one week on Monday August 31 at St Mark’s Lutheran Church at the corner of Galena Blvd and Edgelawn Dr in Aurora. Registration begins at 6:30 pm. New members, from high school age to retirees, are welcome to come and check us out. There will be a presentation on our June 2027 performance tour. Rehearsals for our fall season begin in 3 weeks on Monday, August 31. The Fox Valley Festival Chorus is one of the oldest community chorus’s in the Chicagoland region. Registration begins at 6:30 pm at St Marks Lutheran Church at the corner of Galena Blvd and Edgelawn Dr.
We have some fun holiday music lined up. We will also have a presentation on our 2027 domestic performance tour. ✈️🎶 (If you are interested in performing with us on the tour you need to participate in both this fall season and next spring season.)

Thank you to everyone who attended our America at 250, A Celebration in Song concert last Sunday! We hope you enjoyed the varied selection of American music as much as we enjoyed performing it for you. We also hope that you will join us again in the fall, either in the audience or as a member of the chorus. (No audition required) Congratulations to Gloria, the winner of the quilt raffle! Please join us tomorrow for our spring concert. We will be performing a selection of American music: Cohan, Berlin, Gershwin, Hayes, gospel, rock, and patriotic. There will also be a beautiful Americana quilt raffled off. Overflow parking is available in the School District 129 parking lot (enter off of Downer Place just west of Edgelawn Drive).
