The game is played using a complete and standard deck of 52 playing cards and 4 jokers (56 cards total).
2. Anyone 18 years of age or older & living in the United States can play. Contestants do not need to be present to win!
3. Tickets are $5 each and are good for the next drawing only. Each ticket is good for one entry into the weekly drawing.

ing Venmo. Aurora Community Fundraiser accepts cash, check or Venmo for payment.
5. Tickets are available to purchase at Aurora Quick Stop, Lemke's Bar and Grill in Aurora & online using Venmo ().
6. Please include a name and phone number with each Venmo payment for who should be entered into the weekly drawing.
7. Using Venmo, Aurora Community Fundraiser will “like” the payment once the tickets are entered into the weekly drawing. This is a confirmation that the contestants' tickets are entered.
8. Contestants will not receive a receipt for ticket payment.
9. Aurora Community Fundraiser will not send pictures or any other proof of tickets purchased.
10. Pre-drawing ticket sales will end each Thursday at 6pm for Aurora Quick Stop and Lemke’s Bar and Grill. However, tickets can be bought from 7pm - 7:45pm in person at the drawing location at staff discretion.
11. The drawing is held live at 8pm central standard time each Thursday and can be viewed in person or by watching it live on Facebook. The drawing is also broadcast live at Lemkes’s Bar and Grill in Aurora.
12. The drawing will mainly be held at Lemke’s Bar and Grill or Aurora Quick Stop in Aurora, South Dakota. Aurora Community Fundraiser is open to other locations as weather permits.
13. Aurora Community Fundraiser will use an electronic random name picker to choose the weekly winner.
14. A single name from the weekly purchased tickets is randomly chosen to determine the weekly winner.
15. The weekly winner does not have to be present to win.
16. If your name is chosen as the weekly winner, you have won 10% of the weekly ticket sales and will be able to draw a card from the deck if present or have a card drawn by the host on your behalf.
17. If the weekly winner is not present at the drawing site, the Aurora Community Fundraiser host will call the winner using the phone number provided. The host will draw a card on the winner’s behalf if the winner is not able to be reached by phone.
18. If the weekly winner is not present to draw a card, but is able to be reached by phone the winner can have someone who is present draw a card on their behalf or they can tell the host which card to draw by picking a row and column after the host describes the card layout to the winner.
19. If the weekly winner draws the Ace of Spades they will split the total pot amount 50/50 with Aurora Community Fundraiser.
20. If the weekly winner draws a Joker, in addition to the 10% of the weekly ticket sales, the winner will also receive a gift card to a local business.
21. If the weekly winner draws an Ace that is not the Ace of Spades, in addition to the 10% of the weekly ticket sales, the winner will also receive an extra $100.
22. Prize money will be paid after Aurora Community Fundraiser has obtained the necessary tax information.
23. In accordance with federal law, taxes in the amount of 24% of the total jackpot will be withheld from any amount won over $5,000. A W2-G must be completed and signed by the winner prior to receiving their winnings.
24. Winnings will be paid in check form when deemed appropriate by the Aurora Community Fundraiser treasurer(s).
25. Once a card has been drawn, it is not returned to the deck.
26. The cards are in black sealed envelopes and are placed on a table to be chosen by the weekly winner.
27. Anyone that lives in the same household as an Aurora Community Fundraiser team member may not participate in the Aurora Community Fundraiser Chase the Ace event by buying tickets or by being entered into the drawing. If this happens another name will be drawn immediately to find an eligible weekly winner.
28. The Aurora Community Fundraiser Chase the Ace contest is over once the Ace of Spades is drawn from the deck. There may be additional rounds of the game played in the future which will be communicated on Facebook by the Aurora Community Fundraiser staff,
