The Rocky Mountain State Conference of the NAACP sends our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the youth leader who was tragically murdered last night. No family should have to endure the pain of losing a child to violence.

As we enter this holiday weekend, we encourage our communities to commit to having a fun and safe weekend by choosing peace, de-escalating conflict, protecting our youth, and checking in on one another.

Please take time to enjoy family, support our young people, and utilize community resources if your family is facing challenges or crisis.

Together, we can help build safer communities for everyone.
