Our next 2026 NALJA Board of Directors Candidate is... Ashley Schrag from Moundridge, Kansas!

"I would like to be a national director to give youth the same junior national experience I had growing up. I remember Junior Nationals being the highlight of my year, constantly preparing for contests and looking forward to making new friends. I want the youth of the North American Limousin Junior Association to enjoy these experiences within the industry and find ways to use the skills learned within the show ring in their future careers, whether related to agriculture or not. Throughout my junior career, I have found that I enjoy helping others find their passion. My desire to serve as a North American Limousin Junior Board director is rooted in service and passion. I want to be a catalyst who positively impacts the future of those around me. Whether a member enjoys showing cattle and showmanship, public speaking and photography, or competing in events, I want to help them discover what is important in their lives."

Now introducing 2026 Board of Directors Candidate, Tyla Thomas from Sterling, Colorado!

"I want to serve as a National Director for the North American Limousin Junior Association because this organization has played an important role in shaping my experience in the cattle industry, and I want to give back while helping it continue to grow. Being involved with the Limousin breed has provided me with opportunities to develop skills, build connections, and gain knowledge that I would not have otherwise, and I am motivated to help ensure those same opportunities are available and even stronger for future members."

We're happy to begin announcing our 2026 NALJA Board of Directors candidates! First up is Kason Kiser from Lufkin, Texas!

"My first 2 years as a NALJA Director have been very rewarding. When I initially applied to be a NALJA Director, it was because I had been so welcomed and encouraged by the NALJA Directors at my first NJLSC in Amarillo, TX. Had it not been for them, I probably wouldn’t have gotten involved with as many contests and activities or made the friends I did that week. I wanted to be a NALJA Director so I could be that same role model and inspiration to other NALJA members! The last 2 yrs doing just that as a NALJA Director have been very rewarding, with the bonus of making awesome friendships across the country. The connections made and conversations had with breeders while attending NALJA/NALF events have been invaluable to someone like me who is embarking on this journey with maybe less experience than some others."
