Before we head into our last regular season game, we want to say something to everyone who made this Aurora Mighty Mites season possible:
Thank you. ❤️🖤🐾
To our parents, grandparents, and families—thank you for every drive to practice, every rearranged work schedule, every rushed supper, and every evening spent waiting beside a football field. For sitting outside when it felt like 110 degrees, washing those dirty uniforms, finding that missing mouthpiece, and getting everyone there again the next day.
We know football takes a commitment from the whole family. These kids couldn’t do this without you.
To our fans—thank you for filling the stands, traveling to away games, wearing our colors, and cheering for these kids. Whether they scored a touchdown, made a block, or finally found the courage to try something they’d been struggling with, you gave them people to look up and see cheering them on.
To the coaches of all four grades—3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th—thank you for the hours people see and all the hours they don’t. The planning, the teaching, the encouragement, and the patience to explain something one more time. Thank you for volunteering your time and giving these kids a place to grow, belong, and learn what being a teammate means. And thank you to your families for sharing you with ours.
To every sponsor who supported Aurora Mighty Mites—thank you for investing in our kids. Your generosity helps put this program on the field and gives children in our community an opportunity to be part of something they’ll remember. We hope you feel proud when you see these Dawgs wearing Aurora across their chests. You helped make that happen.
To our volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes—thank you for taking care of the countless jobs that make game days and an entire season possible. Your work matters, even when it happens out of the spotlight.
And to our players—we are proud of you. All four grades. Every number. Every position.
We watched you sweat through practices, get frustrated, try again, encourage a teammate, and learn to trust each other. We watched little moments become big accomplishments. We hope you know how much those moments meant to the people watching.
For our 3rd graders, this was the beginning. For our 6th graders, this is their final Mighty Mites season before junior high. For our 4th and 5th graders, it’s another chapter with teammates they’re growing up beside. None of us can slow that time down, but we can appreciate what we’ve shared.
There’s still football left to play and more cheering left to do. As we head to Clever for our regular season finale, we’re carrying a whole community with us.
Four grades. One town. One team. One heartbeat.
