Tonight will be the last night to see the show. With the nice weather this weekend we need to start taking her down. Thank you to the 5,600 of you that follow our page!! Merry Christmas Aurora Symphony of Lights Fans!!! So many of you have asked where you can make a donation when you have seen me outside. My good friend is behind in his fundraising goal for Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation. He did not do his display this year due to getting EXTREEMLY burned out after competing in the Great Christmas Light Fight. These types of light shows literally take all year to build, maintain, wire, program, and THEN setup! Please consider donating to the link provided below on behalf of our show to get that goal!!!!! Ha ha! So I came home from work today and found this in our yard. My first reaction was laughter because clearly the Grinch must have been visiting to steal the Christmas lights and the Christmas Joy!

Then I thought for a minute wow this could really make me angry … like seriously … we’ve given so much to our community and to BMCF and just needed a little time off!

But … I am landing on thinking it’s pretty funny. Especially as I am pretty sure I have figured out who the jokester is!

I know there are lots of people that have been disappointed with no light show this year and I get it. Frankly … I am missing it (and all of you) also! Although… I’m not missing trying to keep a light show running with 2 feet of snow and 0° temperatures in December!

All of that being said, I haven’t been spamming you all with repeated asks to help drive our fundraiser, and I sincerely appreciate many of you who have already donated and through your donation support our local families and communities. But for now, we seem to have stalled on the fundraiser… if you’ve got a couple bucks or if you can share information about the fundraiser, now is the time to help us drive towards our goal as we close in on Christmas and the end of the month!

With the nice weather coming this weekend we plan to start taking down the show Saturday and Sunday. If you have not made it out yet Friday will be the last night until hopefully next Halloween or Christmas!! Here is the playlist to keep the kids calm waiting for Bluey Dance Mode. lol

Well we took second in the City of Lights decoration contest. Bummer it was only photo submissions. Lol!! I’ll take it. Not bad for the second largest city in Illinois!

It was a fun night!! Enjoyed a few kids dancing to Bluey on the driveway, met some really nice families, took some family photos with the lights in the background, had a great visit from Aurora Buzz, ended up with another bus, and did a quick photo shoot with an awesome car!! Thanks for stopping out tonight. Merry Christmas! Don’t forget to tag us in those photos and videos.

Great night for a light show , candy canes, and a fire! Canes and fire til 8:30/9:00. Step out of the cars and take some family pictures then warm up by the fire if you would like. Merry Christmas!!!

Hope everyone had a great Easter!! I think we are finally done with this season’s layout? Lol. Adding two matrixes, large singing tree, 15 to 20 elevated pixel poles, 5 Bethlehem Stars, double wiggle arches alternating , a big high density prop upstairs, 8 stars, flooding the back tree, two pixel fields with 86 plus Peace Stakes! and building 2 more controllers. Now to finish building and wiring everything!!
