Equality Clinic is a free clinic for all individuals in the CSRA that do not have insurance or are underinsured (in need of resources that are not covered by an insurance plan) AND make less than 200% of the federal poverty line (see the chart below). We treat all patients that meet the guidelines regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual identity, or healthcare needs. We provide services j
ust as any other health facility and we strive to ensure that all of our patients receive friendly and competent healthcare with a specific emphasis on providing complete and competent care to the underserved LGBTQ community. In Equality Clinic you will find students from different health professions including Medicine, Nursing, and Physician Assistants that are learning to provide care to all patients. All students are supervised by healthcare professionals and use the experience to further their understanding of LGBTQ needs that they will be able to use later in practice. Equality Clinic is opening on 9/10/2014 and will have clinics on the second Wednesday of every month following. Clinic begins at 6:00 PM and we take walk-in and appointments, but please be mindful that appointments fill up fast and walk-ins are not guaranteed to be seen if you arrive after 7 PM. The clinic is located in the Health Sciences Building on the campus of Georgia Regents University at 987 Saint Sebastian Way (see photos the full address and a map).
