Five people were arrested Thursday morning after the Georgia Attorney General’s Human Trafficking and Gang Prosecution Units executed simultaneous raids in McDuffie and Lincoln counties.

Today is Memorial Day. It's the day that we honor those who never made it out of their uniforms. It's a day to remind us that so many soldiers, with whom we have never met, sacrificed their lives for us. Freedom is never free and these men and women made the ultimate sacrifice for you and me. I am grateful for all of them. I hope you are, too. Please take a moment of silence out of your day in honor of these brave soldiers and pray for their families, as well.
