Today was one of the best days at the Woodruff County Library! We wrapped up our final 4-H summer workshop, and while it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we’re so proud of everything we’ve accomplished over the past two months.

Our focus today was on sewing basics learning that sewing isn’t just for clothes. It’s a valuable life skill that teaches patience, builds confidence, and helps develop hand-eye coordination. These skills don’t just matter today they’ll carry us into the future and our careers.

Each participant got to create their very own bandanna, and the joy and pride on their faces made it all worth it. We’ve had an amazing summer, and we’re already looking forward to what next year will bring!

Today was a great day at the Woodruff County Library we had another successful 4-H workshop. This week’s topic focused on outdoor camping and our participants had an engaging and educational experience.

We explored:
• The importance of camping and outdoor exploration
• Basic camping safety and what to pack
• Healthy eating options while outdoors
• Fun, nature-based activities
• The value of respecting Arkansas’s natural resources, including forests, rivers, and wildlife

Participants also enjoyed two hands-on recipe activities: Campfire Banana Boats and a refreshing Lemon Blueberry Water—perfect for staying hydrated on a warm summer day.

If you weren’t able to join us this week, we invite you to attend our final 4-H workshop of the summer beginner sewing at the Woodruff County Library July 24, 10 AM 

We’ll be learning all about sewing a valuable skill.
We hope to see you there !

We’re excited to host a fun-filled Outdoor Workshop this Thursday, July 17th, at 10 AM at the Woodruff County Library!

Come enjoy hands-on activities, fresh air, and lots of learning and laughter. It’s a great way for kids to explore, play, and connect with nature. You won’t want to miss it—we’ve got some awesome activities planned!

Today was an AMAZING day at the Woodruff County Library!
I had the absolute BEST time at our 4H birdhouse workshop we learned all about the beautiful birds that call Arkansas (and especially Woodruff County) home AND we got crafty making our very own birdhouses!

Y’all, we had 2 1/2 hours of non-stop fun, laughter, and learning!
Big thank you to everyone who came out you made it such a special day!

But guess what?! The fun isn’t over!
We’re doing it again next week with an 4H OUTDOOR workshop at the Woodruff County library July 17 10 AM 

You don’t wanna miss it! Can’t wait to see all your smiling faces there!

Last Thursday was an absolute blast! We wrapped up the week with an amazing program all about COLOR and wow, did we dive deep! Not only did we explore the beautiful visual side of color, but we also learned how colors can affect our bodies, minds, and even the world around us!

We especially loved talking about the colors of fruits and veggies as well as SNAP-Ed and learning all about MyPlate and what those colors mean for our health. We also focused and talked a lot about our local farmers specifically in Woodruff County and our beautiful state Arkansas. 

If you missed out no worries! We’ve got another fun-filled workshop this Wednesday at 10 AM — it’s our Birdhouse Workshop at the Woodruff County Library!
