Augusta/CSRA Habitat for Humanity is now accepting applications for our 2026 Homeownership Program. Qualified applicants must:
✅ Live or work in Richmond or Columbia County for at least one year
✅ Be a first-time homebuyer
✅ Demonstrate a need for a Habitat home
✅ Be willing to partner with Habitat
✅ Have an income between 50–80% of the Area Median Income

Welcome Brooke Ann Childers to Augusta/CSRA Habitat for Humanity!

We’re excited to welcome Brooke Ann Childers as our new Senior Director of Community Affairs & Resource Development. Brooke brings more than 20 years of experience building strategic partnerships, leading community engagement initiatives, and fostering relationships across the public, private, nonprofit, and civic sectors throughout Georgia.

Brooke Ann’s collaborative leadership style, strategic communication skills, and passion for service will be a tremendous asset as we continue expanding our mission across the CSRA. She is committed to connecting people, organizations, and resources to create stronger communities and more opportunities for working families to achieve homeownership.

We look forward to her leadership helping us grow our affiliate and serve even more families throughout the CSRA.

Every wall raised brings a local family one step closer to the strength, stability and independence that come with affordable homeownership and your family’s journey could be next!

Are you interested in becoming an Augusta/CSRA Habitat homeowner? Our program partners with qualified individuals and families who demonstrate a need for affordable housing, can repay an affordable mortgage and are willing to work alongside Habitat throughout the process.

Basic qualifications include:
🔨 A demonstrated need for affordable housing
💚 The ability to repay an affordable mortgage
🤝 A willingness to partner with Habitat
📍 Having lived or worked in Richmond or Columbia County for at least one year
📊 A minimum credit score of 600
