Good news for our 101st Air Refueling Wing!

Seven Air National Guard air refueling wings are in the running for what the Air Force is calling the KC-46A Pegasus Main Operating Base 7, the service announced Oct. 3.

Thanks to The Boeing Company for partnering with us during this year’s conference! Through our partnership, one of our CGOs received a fellowship to attend the conference at no cost to either the organization or the member. We’re proud to have our members flying their KC-135 Stratotanker and hope to get their new KC-46 Pegasus soon!

A huge thank you to National Guard Association of Michigan- NGAM for hosting us last night at the Mixers. Afterwards we joined forces with National Guard Association of New Hampshire to co-host a Hospitality Suite for our delegation.

Today the National Guard Association of the United States - NGAUS kicked off their annual conference and we had the pleasure of having our CGOs introduce our state during the state’s roll call. Afterwards we heard from Bob Parsons and many of our delegation had the opportunity to engage and receive signed copies of his book.

We then heard from the Chief of Staff Army, GEN George, followed by Acting CNGB, LTG Stubbs. Both speakers held a Q&A session answering a multitude of questions across the 54.

On the civilian side we heard from Michigan’s Governor, Gretchen Esther Whitmer, and the House Representative for Detroit, The Honorable John James.

NGAME was proud to host 50 Company Grade Officers (primarily from the Maine Air and Army National Guards, but also from the Marine Corps, and Montenegrin Armed Forces) at our CGO OPD Luncheon with the Adjutant General, Diane Dunn. Adam Davis planned the event to coincide with a majority of the state’s Annual Training periods and Commanders were kind enough to allow many of their officers participate.

Major General Farnham is a National Guard Educational Foundation Legion de Lafayette member and life time member of National Guard Association of the United States - NGAUS. He’s represented our state on the national level in so many uncountable ways helping to improve the guard experience for our Mainers! You’ll be missed, but we hope to continue to see you within our organization.

Welcome back Brigade General Dun! BG Dunn is a past President of NGAME and was our retiree delegate at last year’s conference. We’ll be working to more closely align our support to her vision for the Maine Maine National Guard!
