Poetry Matters Project Mission Statement: we build community connection through collaboration under the guise of poetry. On this page you will find postings for other poetry contest.

This mission has been kept us going for twenty six years and counting. Founded in August 2013, the Poetry Matters Project grew from over 13 years of programming to increase the awareness of all things poetic across diverse cultural lines. It began as a literary contest in the local school systems of Richmond and Columbia Counties in Georgia. Project participants began reviewing ways that would allow us to grow and meet the needs of all ages and stages of poets and other literary audiences with which we now interact. Information on our programs and ways to connect with other poetry minded collaborators.
