The mission of Cancer Support Services is to provide cancer patients support for their financial and emotional needs, including lodging services, in order to facilitate their treatment and healing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cancer Support Services (CSS) remained open for vulnerable cancer patients. Cancer Support Services has a responsibility to maintain assistance to cancer fighters, and now

all the ways the coronavirus pandemic is affecting their treatment, income, and fears. Funding requests have increased by cancer fighters and caregivers whose lives have been disrupted by furloughs, closures, job loss, and sickness. As you can, please make a donation at cancersupportservices.org or via Facebook (Lydia receives 100% of Facebook donations); and invite others to do the same. CSS provides area men, women, and children currently receiving cancer treatment and hospice care with the following:

1. Prescription assistance and medical supplies

2. Previous month’s utility / rent

3. Prescription costs and medical supply costs

4. Prayer and emotional support

5. Support and Survivorship Programming

6. Transportation for area men and women to cancer treatment

7. Lodging for out-of-area patients needing to be near cancer treatment. Cancer fighters nationwide can request a tote, prayer, and monthly emotional support by visiting cancersupportservices.org. Cancer Support Services is volunteer driven. See all the ways you can help. Visit cancersupportservices.org to download, complete, and send in your Volunteer Application. Let us pray for cancer fighters, their families and caregivers, for our great Nation, and for each other.
