So thankful to the students at Richmond County Technical Magnet School for their efforts in supporting our toy drive that will help provide gifts to children. Special thanks to Mrs. Tiffany Cox for her commitment to show young people the benefits of community service.

I didn’t take any pictures today, but the clothing giveaway was a huge success! There were dozens of families who came by and we were able to provide tangible resources, as well as minister to so many people who are suffering during these tough economical times.

One family we connected with today has a 17 year old with autism who needs a lot of support. The family lacks many resources that most of us take for granted. This family and several more like them completed an application for help this Christmas. Each year Head of the Giant Ministry sponsors a “Christmas Celebration“ with a Christmas program, a lunch meal, games, crafts, and activities for the kids, and gifts for each child.

We need you! We need people to help in whatever way they can. We need volunteers to help over the next several weeks as we prepare for the event and people who can serve on 12/19 (as we set up and prepare) and 12/20/25 (the event date). We also need people to sponsor a family which is a financial commitment around $125-$130 per child. Additionally, we need financial sponsors to help us purchase gifts and food. Finally, we need local schools, churches, and businesses to put out collection boxes for toys and other gifts.

This is a call to anyone who wants to see our community come together to serve each other as the early church did. Where are Jesus’ disciples at? Let’s show up and serve these precious families as Jesus would. 💜
