Our programs use therapeutic golf to improve health, confidence, and community connection for Veterans, children, and adults living with disabilities. Marty Turcios is the Founder and Executive Director of Marty Turcios Therapeutic Golf, a nonprofit delivering structured, community-based golf programs for people living with disabilities. He earned degrees in Therapeutic Recreation from California
State University, Fresno and San Jose State University. His career spans golf instruction, academic collaboration, and rehabilitation partnerships, including programs with UC Berkeley and Dwight D. Marty founded the organization in California in 2010 and relocated it to Augusta, Georgia in 2016. Known for his adaptive, fundamentals-first teaching style, he continues to advance therapeutic golf as a meaningful tool for recovery, confidence, and independence. MTTG Programs:
Weekly Golf Lesson Clinics: Foundational instruction for individuals of all ages with mobility, sensory, or cognitive
impairments, including traumatic brain injury. Active Duty Military Clinics: Delivered in coordination with Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Eisenhower for Active Duty Servicemembers participating in Functional Recovery Programs (FRP). Clinical Partnerships: Therapeutic golf clinics delivered at the range for patients of partnered rehab centers and hospitals. In 2026, MTTG will pilot mobile/on site clinics directly at partner facilities, depending on 2026 resourcing available.
9-Hole On-Course Experiences: Optional on-course sessions that allow participants to apply skills in a real-world
setting, using adaptive equipment as needed. These experiences emphasize confidence, independence, and continuity beyond the clinic environment. Annual Adaptive Golf Tournament: In 2026, we plan to host an expanded adaptive golf tournament for about 25
athletes from across the CSRA. This event is not a fundraiser - it is about participation, community, and giving people a meaningful experience at no cost.
