Our big, handsome, Tommy was adopted Monday evening. He is FIV+ which is no big deal. He’s inside only, neutered and not a fighter. Currently he’s the only cat, but we’ll see. You know how that cat distribution system works. lol

His friends already miss him, especially Gravy.

Zoey is about 7 months old, she is very very sweet one-on-one. She is a very good walker on leash, loves to run around, and is a maniac for squeaky toys. She just wants the full attention of someone. Loves giving kisses and somewhere to run around. She has gotten so much better about play biting people, and my kids really love her, and she loves them.

She has some separation anxiety, and does get bored easily. She has gotten better about resource guarding, now she just picks up the bowl and runs with it instead of being aggressive. She doesnt get along with cats at all, but is good with other mellow dogs. She would be best in a one pet household.

She is up to date with vaccines

Time to catch up on some very recent adoptions.

Cheddar, Jet, Sprout and Princess were all selected for adoption. Big score for adult cats and black cats that are often over looked in general or in lieu of kittens. The beautiful Princess was only with us for 15 minutes before she was selected but had to wait a few days for her vetting to be completed.

Busy but very productive Saturday, a hard working group of folks from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions visited. On their “to do” list was : cleaning pet crates, pressure washing dog kennels, “refresh” a drab looking cat room and extend the duck quarters.

Another cat, surrendered when the family moved away, Hermes was a companion to Artemis who was adopted a couple of weeks ago. We tried to adopt them out together at first but it was clear they were not super bonded. Artemis got an opportunity first, today it was Hermes turn, he’ll love living as an only cat, he was rough on the cats he was living with.
