2026 NJTL Essay Contest Winner . . .

Congratulations to Jacob Joseph, a longtime MACH Academy, Inc. participant, who was selected as the 2026 USTA Foundation NJTL Essay Contest Senior Male National Winner!

This year’s essay contest focused on leadership, asking participants to describe a meaningful experience where they led or inspired others and share what they learned about leadership that will shape their future. Jacob is one of only eight national winners, selected from nearly 400 entries!

As a national winner, Jacob earned an unforgettable trip to New York City and the US Open, where the winners enjoy educational, cultural, and tennis experiences.

We are extremely proud of you, Jacob! Thank you for representing yourself, MACH Academy, Inc., and our local community on the national stage!

No Sibling Rivalry Here!

Joseph 1st place (Boys 16U) and Sianna 1st place (Girls 14U) at the Level 6: Deep South Bacon Park Tennis Courts, in Savannah, GA.

Brother and sister, Joseph and Sianna Burch, had no time for sibling rivalry; they were both too busy competing on the court.

While each faced their own opponent, they shared the same goal: play hard, compete with confidence, and give it their best. It paid off and both of them earned first place wins!

In keeping with the NJTL mission, the trip included an educational component. In addition to competing, participants had the opportunity to sightsee and explore local attractions, gaining new experiences and learning beyond the tennis court.
