In order to reduce incidents of sexual assault, the agency seeks to educate the community and those at risk of becoming involved in an incident of sexual assault. Training is provided for educators, medical staff, faith community, youth, and interested groups. R**e Crisis’ Prevention Programs have been implemented in multiple settings, including schools, daycares, and after-school programs, faith
communities, public housing, juvenile court, public health programs, and other youth-service organizations. All curriculums utilized in prevention programs are age and developmentally appropriate and evidence based or considered best practices. Furthermore, R**e Crisis serves as a primary community resource in the CSRA for information and referrals on sexual assault crimes and a leading advocate for the promotion of survivors’ rights. RCSAS continually works to improve the availability and access to services in the community. R**e Crisis and Sexual Assault Services (RCSAS) provides quality, efficient and culturally competent crisis intervention, advocacy, therapy and prevention education to children, women and men. RCSAS provides direct services to hospitals in Richmond, Burke, Columbia, Jefferson, and McDuffie Counties.
