It was such a joy for MPCA to join Maine Mobile Health Program in celebrating their 40th Anniversary last Friday night! The evening was filled with music, food, laughter, and fellowship as they commemorated four decades of serving Maine’s seasonal workers and their families! Congratulations on 40 remarkable years and here's to many more!

The conference is a great opportunity to connect with colleagues from across Maine’s Community Health Center Network. MPCA's annual conference brings together health center leaders, clinicians, financial and workforce professionals, and other staff to learn, network, share ideas, and engage with peers from across the state.

UNE’s Dental Fair on Friday was a wonderful opportunity to connect with 3rd- and 4th-year oral health students and talk about the opportunities available through Maine’s Community Health Centers.

Harrington Family Health Center, HOMETOWN Health Center, Pines Health Services, HealthReach Community Health Centers, and Bucksport Regional Health Center were all in attendance, and we had some really encouraging conversations with students.

When we debriefed afterward, the CHCs all noticed a shift this year. Students showed real interest in the CHC care model, and many told us they hope to stay in Maine and build their careers here. That's a bright spot on the horizon. Our friends at Bi-state PCA were there too, and it's always great to connect with them!

Unsurprisingly, student loan support and reimbursement opportunities came up again and again, both in Maine generally and for clinicians working in a CHC. It was a good reminder that students are weighing more than just a job. They're deciding where they want to put down roots and build their lives.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by- we were so glad to be a part of the event!
