SHARE WITH A GRADUATING SENIOR OF T.W. JOSEY
T.W. Josey Comprehensive High School Class of 2026—
Four years ago, when you first entered the sacred halls of the Eagles’ Nest, you arrived as young dreamers—some anxious, some uncertain, yet all filled with potential waiting to be awakened. You entered these historic doors seeking knowledge, direction, friendship, and purpose. Within these walls, you were nurtured, cultivated, challenged, and refined so that one day you would stand tall enough to wear the academic crown and robe that now await you.
And now, that crowning moment has arrived.
On Thursday, May 28, 2026, destiny will meet preparation.
Just days ago, after every grade was calculated, every assessment completed, and every requirement fulfilled, 133 young men and women emerged victorious. One hundred thirty-three Eagles now stand at the gateway of the world, prepared to enter adulthood carrying the legacy of the historic institution located at 1701 Fifteenth Street at Eagles Way—a school whose legacy has given rise to doctors, lawyers, judges, educators, entrepreneurs, college presidents, Super Bowl champions, and even a United States Ambassador.
And now, the world pauses and asks:
“Who are these 133 young men and women, and what do they represent?”
And T.W. Josey answers proudly:
These are they whose dreams are no longer distant wishes, but futures waiting to be fulfilled. These are they who represent the brilliance, creativity, leadership, and compassion needed in an ever-changing world. These are they who are prepared to labor, lead, innovate, and serve the global community before them.
Then the world asks again:
“What authority do they possess to believe they can change the world?”
And T.W. Josey responds with unwavering confidence:
They have been given authority by their ancestors. They stand firmly upon the shoulders of those who sacrificed, struggled, marched, prayed, taught, and endured so that they might rise higher. They are determined to contradict every limitation, every stereotype, and every statistic that attempted to define them before they were even born.
And then the world declares:
“They are ready.”
Class of 2026, you are indeed a special class.
Though some may attempt to label you as the “last graduating class” of the historic T.W. Josey Comprehensive High School, many of us boldly reject that notion. The mighty name of T.W. Josey shall continue to stand—now elevated as a College and Career Academy—expanding its legacy and strengthening its impact for generations yet to come.
But make no mistake, Class of 2026, your place in history is forever secured.
You are the 60th graduating class.
And 60 represents the diamond.
A diamond symbolizes strength and endurance.
A diamond symbolizes brilliance and value.
A diamond is formed under pressure, yet emerges unbroken, radiant, and rare.
Like the diamond, your journey has not always been easy. You have endured pressure, adversity, uncertainty, and challenges unseen by many. Yet through it all, you did not shatter—you shined. You emerged stronger, wiser, and more determined than before.
So, as you prepare to walk across that stage, remember this:
You are not merely graduates.
You are legacy bearers.
You are history in motion.
You are the answered prayers of generations before you.
You are Eagles prepared to soar beyond every limitation placed before you.
And wherever life may lead you, never forget the place that helped shape your wings.
Congratulations, T.W. Josey Comprehensive High School Class of 2026.
Fly high.
Fly boldly.
And forever let the world know that Eagles soar.
