Bonjour!
I hope that you had a wonderful April break!

NOTE: This is a fundraiser to support our scholarship fund.

2. L'Acadie Vivante/Living Acadia (June 23-28)
Join AATF-Maine and the University of Maine at Fort Kent for a workshop celebrating Acadian history, culture and language in Northern Maine. Register HERE before ,May 1st!

3. The Portland Museum of Art will soon be showing the 2025 film adaptation of L'Etranger, by Albert Camus. Their film program specialist and AATF-Maine are planning a special matinee screening on May 20, at noon, for teachers who would like to bring their advanced-level students (cost: $4/student). Please be aware that there is one sex/nudity scene, so parent permission slips would be needed.
For more information and to register, please contact Nathalie at [email protected]

4. A reminder that the free monthly newspaper Amjambo Africa! includes articles in 7 languages, including French, on topics such as African news/culture and social justice. One article for example talks about Athanase Kadita Tshibaka’s life in the DRC before coming to the US (he will present his memoir at USM on May 23rd).
These articles are excellent resources for interpretive reading in the classroom! Please find the May edition attached here.

5. 2026 AATF Convention July 11 - 14 in BOSTON -
