For our local support—AlexStrong Foundation will be helping St. Mary on the Hill Catholic School honor student Stephen Claya Jr. who has been battling childhood cancer and is in need of our support and prayers at this time. 💛

Basketball Games vs. Westminster
Admission: $5 adult, $2 children

We will have Go Gold merchandise available at the game to help show your support!
Shirts are also currently available to St. Mary’s students and families through the school and have been temporarily removed from our site.
QR codes can be used to support the family’s meal train, prayer train, or Go Fund Me.

I am sharing this link for a meal train to support the Hagans Family, who joined our St. Mary’s community in August 2022 as a part of a cross-country move seeking care for their youngest, who is currently battling Leukemia at CHOG.

I cannot put into words our gratitude for the love and support of community when we needed it most. As a part of our mission with AlexStrong, we invite all who are able to help us pay it forward to this family now. 🎗️🙏🏻

The Hagans family was welcomed into our SMCS family this fall. The Hagans' family relocated to Augusta from Ohio so that they may receive treatment at CHOG for their youngest daughter, Venayah, who was been diagnosed with pre-B-cell Leukemia in December 2021. The Bob Trot 5K is a family-friendly event that is put on by the Stager Strong Nonprofit Organization and will take place at the North Augusta Greenway on 02/11/2023. All proceeds from the event will go directly to three charities chosen: AlexStrong, Mission 22 and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Visit our event page to learn more!

What a wonderful morning at SMCS. Thank you for letting us honor and commemorate the fallen heroes to childhood cancer. Below is the poem we read before the butterflies were released.

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam,
And for a brief moment,
It’s glory and beauty belong to our world.
But, then it flies on again.
And although we wish it could have stayed, we feel blessed to have seen it.
