It’s Lupus Awareness Month! Lupus is a target for and we take it seriously! This Saturday Our Sorors painted the streets, The parks, The tracks, and the gyms Fuchsia, Navy Blue, Antique Gold and PURPLE for Lupus Awareness! It's an opportunity for the lupus community to join together across the country to raise awareness of the physical, emotional and economic impact of lupus. The color purple is said to be a combination of red, which signifies motivation, and blue, which signifies calmness. Purple is also the color used to bring awareness to other conditions and social issues such as: Alzheimer's disease and Sarcoidosis.

World Press Freedom Day 2022: It is observed on May 3rd annually. The day celebrates the fundamental principles of press freedom, evaluating press freedom globally, defending the media from attacks on their independence, etc.

Why is World Press Freedom Day Important????

Media freedom is a cornerstone of all democratic societies and essential to the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. A free media is essential to hold elected leaders to account.

Happy Today, April 22, 2022, is Earth Day, a time set aside to celebrate the Earth, learn about the environment, and promote conservation. The theme for this year's event is “Invest in Our Planet.” Earth Day 2022 will mark the 52nd anniversary of this holiday; this year’s theme is “Invest In Our Planet.” The idea behind this year’s theme is to encourage governments, corporations, and private citizens to take concrete steps toward following more sustainable practices, buying from responsible companies, and taking more of an active role in the Earth’s wellbeing.
