Today, January 12, we remember one of the most devastating days in Haiti’s history.

On January 12, 2010, a powerful earthquake took the lives of hundreds of thousands and forever changed millions more. Families were torn apart, communities were destroyed, and grief touched every corner of the nation.

We remember those who were lost, and we honor the strength and resilience of the Haitian people. At Hope Community Project, this day reminds us why we serve—to walk with families, strengthen communities, and share the hope of the Gospel in the midst of suffering.

Please join us in praying for Haiti—for continued healing, restoration, and enduring hope.

Update-
Thank you all for praying, giving and sending messages. The student is home. Very very sore and he needs to take it easy for a while yet, but doctors do not believe he will have permanent damage. Praise God with us!

Urgent Prayer Request

Friends, we are asking for your prayers right now for a child in our scholarship program who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident yesterday.

He was taken to the hospital following the accident, and there is concern about a possible spinal injury. X-rays have been inconclusive so far, but there are some encouraging signs, and we are praying for clarity and healing.

His mother has been a tireless advocate for her children, refusing to let him be discharged without proper care despite financial hardship. Because of your support, our staff was able to respond immediately, ensure medical bills were covered, and allow him to remain hospitalized while doctors continue evaluating his condition.

Pray for a full and complete recovery

Pray for wisdom and provision for any additional care that may be needed

Pray for peace and comfort for this child, who is very afraid
