Support Black and/or African American students in pursuing STEM majors and careers. Tackle economic barriers that limit access to STEM education and opportunities. Engage with like-minded organizations to expand resources and opportunities. Mentor and provide scholarships to deserving high school seniors. Through these efforts, we aim to empower the next generation of Black and/or African American STEM leaders by equipping them with the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to succeed. Labor of Love STEM Scholars Program
The Labor of Love STEM Scholars Program is a 6-week virtual workshop series designed for minority high school students across all 50 states who are disproportionately underrepresented in STEM fields. Our mission is to bridge the diversity gap in STEM by equipping students with hands-on problem-solving experiences and exposure to various STEM disciplines. Minimum GPA requirement: 3.0. College Prep 101 Program
The College Prep 101 Program is designed to support high school students in grades 10-12 nationwide, spanning all 50 states. This monthly virtual workshop series provides valuable guidance to both students and parents as they navigate the college admissions process. The program is open to all students, including those who may find the process overwhelming, ensuring accessibility and support for a diverse range of participants. Annual Scholarship Opportunities:
The Labor of Love Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to underrepresented graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue higher education at an accredited four-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU) and intend to major in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline. This scholarship program is designed to enhance college accessibility and affordability for deserving students.
