🎉TOMORROW! (FRIDAY, OCT 2) OPENING RECEPTION FOR NEW EXHIBIT!🎉

The Augusta Art Guild is delighted to invite you to the opening of LIGHT CREATES FORM, a featured artist exhibition of oil paintings, pastel paintings, and photography by Kentucky-based artists Brad and Deb Wooldridge.

Please join us on Friday, October 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM to experience this beautiful new collection, mingle with local art enthusiasts, while enjoying a glass of w**e and appetizers.

LIGHT CREATES FORM reflects the artists’ experience of the extraordinary landscapes and luminous light while in Taormina, Sicily, on the Ionian Sea and the South of France.

Following in the footsteps of favorite artists, Van Gogh and Cézanne, they explored the places that inspired them. In turn, Brad and Deb Wooldrige were inspired by the same light, color, and forms that have captivated artists for generations.

Returning home to their studio in Augusta, Kentucky, they realized that the sculptural light and bold colors had come home within them, influencing every stroke they make.

The paintings and photographs in the LIGHT CREATES FORM exhibit are their personal interpretation of these extraordinary places—their experience of the light, color, textures, and forms that continue to inspire them. Whether you are a longtime collector or discovering their work for the first time, we look forward to welcoming you on October 2.

🎉ART EXHIBIT OPENING TONIGHT!

FRIDAY, SEPT 4
5-7 p.m.

BECOMING
Featured Artist: Jenny Deiter

Kentucky-based painter Jenny Deiter explores memory, atmosphere, and the shifting relationship between landscape and emotion. Working in layered acrylics, Deiter creates paintings that move fluidly between observation and abstraction, using color, texture, and light to evoke a sense of place rather than simply describe it.

BECOMING brings together studio explorations, recent work, and new large-scale paintings that reflects the continued evolution of Deiter’s artistic voice. Across the exhibition, familiar elements of landscape are transformed through layers of paint, gesture, and atmosphere, revealing a practice grounded in both observation and intuitive exploration.

The exhibition offers a glimpse into an artist in motion—one whose work continues to develop through experimentation with color, texture, and the emotional possibilities of landscape. BECOMING captures this evolving process, inviting viewers to consider not only the places depicted, but the memories, sensations, and emotions that shape our experience of them.
