The Senior Citizens Council of Augusta State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) serves Georgians in 14 counties in the CSRA. Georgia SHIP offers local help for individuals with Medicare and those new to Medicare.

Let us introduce you to: Melvenia Patterson!

Ms. Patterson, born in the month of January, is a returning AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent. Ms. Patterson enjoys sewing, solving math problems, and helping children excel in their studies. Having served 23 students during the 2022-2023 school year, she helped all 23 of her students meet and exceed their goals in Math and Reading.
