At the Club's meeting on April 6th, the Club's guest speaker was Mr. Tony Acosta, from the Independence Pathway. It offers both residential and non-residential programs designed to empower young adults who have aged out of the foster care system or are at risk of homelessness in Central Florida. Their residential programs provides safe, stable housing with access to life skills training, educational resources, internship opportunities and mentorship to support the transition to independent living. Club President Kathie Youtsler is shown presenting a donation check for the program.

We are prayerfully looking for a reputable adult male who would be willing to live in our Transition Home alongside two young men who have recently aged out of foster care.

These young men are working hard to build stable, independent lives and would benefit from the steady presence of a responsible, positive male role model in the home.

• Private room
• Very low rent — $500/month
• All utilities included
• Shared common spaces
• Safe, structured environment

We are looking for someone who is:
• Mature and dependable
• Employed or financially stable
• Drug-free
• Willing to live in a respectful, supportive environment
• Comfortable being a steady, encouraging presence (not a “rescuer,” just consistent and grounded)

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while also benefiting from affordable housing.

Merry Christmas from Independence Pathway ✨

Because of your generosity, every donation went directly to our kids. We were able to attend Christmas Eve service together and share a meal at Outback. The kids received gifts they truly loved and later shared just how much this experience — and your support — has positively impacted their lives.

🎄 Christmas at Independence Pathway 🎄

For many of the young adults we serve, Christmas doesn’t come with a full table, wrapped gifts, or family waiting with open arms. It often comes quietly — with stress, uncertainty, and the weight of doing life alone.

This year, we’re collecting monetary donations to create a Christmas fund for the young adults in our care ,including one brave new mom and her baby. We will also be sharing an Amazon wish list. Your generosity helps cover real needs, relieve real pressure, and remind them they are seen, valued, and not forgotten during the holidays.

This Christmas, we have the privilege of loving on FIVE incredible young adults who are working so hard to build stable, independent lives after aging out of foster care. One of them is also a brand-new parent, doing their very best to give their little one a safe and peaceful first Christmas.

We’re hoping to bless each of them with the things most of us take for granted—warm clothes, basic necessities, a few gifts that remind them they matter, and a holiday meal that brings a little light into a season that can feel heavy.
