Recently I had the opportunity to join members of our agency in congratulating Judge Thomas Leone as he retires after 20 years on the bench. The members of our Deputy Sheriff’s Police Association presented Judge Leone with a plaque, thanking him for his service. We would like to wish you all the best Judge Leone. Have a long, happy, and healthy retirement.

Members from the Cayuga County DSPA Local 9820 will be at Applebees - Auburn, NY on April 16th from 5pm - 8pm to partake in the annual Special Olympics fundraiser event. This event helps support the amazing work that the Special Olympics does each year. Come on out, enjoy some food, meet the amazing men and women of our Union and support a great cause!

The Members of the CCSO DSPA Local 9820 stand in solidarity with our Brothers and Sisters of the Auburn Police Department. The elimination of jobs due to poor fiscal oversight not only affects dedicated public servants but will severely undermine the safety and well-being of the entire community. We strongly encourage residents to make their voices heard by signing the petition and reaching out to their city officials to express concern about the dangers of eliminating these positions. Public safety depends on adequate staffing. Please make your voice heard and stop these dangerous decisions from being made in your community.

To have the honor of serving the residents and visitors of Cayuga County with the Sheriff's Office you must reside within our county. The men and women who wear this badge are more than just Deputy Sheriffs they are your family, friends, neighbors, business owners, coaches, and volunteers who are invested in Cayuga County where they choose to serve and protect.
