Our House
We own two houses that are across the street from Ridgecrest, the largest public housing community in Auburn. The neighborhood kids (approximately 75 students in grades K-12th) come to "Our House" after school to get a healthy snack and help with the homework, project and studies and to participate in small group activities such as Bible Study and Girl Scouts. During the summer, we offer weekly day camps to the elementary children, whose families do not have the funds or transportation to give their children these experiences. We also provide enrichment activities for our tweens/teen throughout the year. Our physical presence in the neighborhood allows us to create a sense of community and to serve the entire family. Throughout the year, we host meals, gatherings and celebrations. In all that we do, we strive to show the love of Jesus in practical ways and to foster relationship that demonstrate our genuine care and concern for the spiritual, emotional and social well-being of our neighbors - young and old.
