Auburn University Fly Fishing Club

Auburn University Fly Fishing Club Students interested in the growing sport of fly-fishing meet on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in Funchess room 105.

The art and sport of fly fishing is quickly growing and highly addicting. This is a new club, being created in hopes of not only bringing together current fly fishermen (and women), but also to create more interest in fly fishing as a whole. Whether you are a seasoned fly angler, a conventional tackle cross-over, or just somebody interested in the outdoors, this club is certainly worth checking out.

Want to help protect our state’s streams? This is a good way to make a small but meaningful impact. I’m challenging all fly fishing clubs and groups to adopt a local stream (especially a redeye stream!) and help keep it clean!

We had a blast with our friends from Project Uplift last Saturday! Getting kids to love the outdoors and educating them about responsible use of our natural resources is essential for the future of our hobby.

04/01/2017

Today's the day! We'll see Project Uplift at noon at the fisheries pond. If you don't have directions type "2009 Auburn Lakes Road" into the navigation app on your phone and it should take you there.

03/31/2017

Can't wait to take a bunch of kids fishing tomorrow with our friends at Project Uplift! Message us if you have any questions.

01/28/2016

We will be meeting tomorrow at 5 in Funchess Hall Room 105 to tie flies!!
