nal resources to individuals and families affected by cancer in our local community. Founded on the belief that no one should face cancer alone or unaided, DSCF works to ease the financial burdens that often accompany a cancer diagnosis—from transportation and lodging to treatment-related expenses. Through community-driven initiatives, fundraising events, and strategic partnerships, DSCF empowers patients to focus on healing while ensuring they receive the support and dignity they deserve.

Last week, I had the chance to see things through the eyes of a fellow Chamber member, and I learned so much.

There’s an appreciation like no other when you spend a few hours in a world you know absolutely nothing about. It gives you a whole new respect for the work, skill, and passion behind what someone does every day.

Grateful for opportunities to learn, connect, and better understand the incredible people in our community. 💙🧡

Registration for Spencer Cancer Center’s Survivors Day Picnic has been extended!

Join us Saturday, June 6 from 9-11:30 a.m. at Spring Villa Lodge as we celebrate the strength and journeys of cancer survivors across our community.

Tickets are $15 and include a t-shirt, picnic lunch, and special survivorship gift bag. Please register ahead of time by Tuesday, May 26 at www.eastalabamahealth.org/survivorspicnic – there will be no day-of registration.
