Your lived experience expertise is powerful—and we rely on it in the behavioral health workforce. Help us get the word out to people who could benefit.

We’re excited to invite you to Recovery Jobs for Beginners: Leading with Lived Experience, a free, five-week virtual training series June 11 – July 9, 5:30-7pm, designed to help you explore, enter, or grow in a meaningful career supporting others in recovery.

Whether you’re just getting started or already working in the field, this program meets you where you are. See which tracks below make the most sense for you or reach out if you’re not sure:

Track A (Maine residents): New to behavioral health? Explore career pathways like peer recovery coaching, peer support, and substance use counseling. Learn what roles exist, what they require, and how to take your first steps.

Track B (ME, NH, VT): Already working in behavioral health? Strengthen your skills, connect with others in recovery roles, and deepen your impact through shared learning and mentorship.

Across both tracks, you’ll gain practical tools in communication, team-based care, and professional growth—all grounded in the value of lived experience.

What makes this opportunity stand out:
5 free, virtual sessions, (Thursdays, June 11–July 9, 5:30–7 PM (until 7:30 on July 9 only)
Learn from experienced professionals and peers
Build connections and find mentorship
Participants receive a laptop and gift cards for wardrobe and/or transportation (pending funder approval)

If you’ve been thinking about taking the next step in your career—or want to bring more of your lived experience into your work—this is your moment.
