We are a NYS registered Shelter/Rescue-No. RR181. Our mission is to ensure the safety of all animals.

We work diligently to prevent cruelty to animals and prevent companion animal overpopulation. This is a page for supporters of Finger Lakes SPCA of Central New York

Reyning Canines Appreciation Post! 🙌

We’re so grateful for our partnership with Reyning Canines! Samantha has been an invaluable part of our shelter dogs’ journeys to their forever homes—helping with everything from basic training and confidence-building to navigating behavioral challenges with patience, skill, and heart.

Her thoughtful approach gives each dog the chance to learn, grow, and shine as the individual they are. By leading with compassion, mindfulness, trust, and a little playfulness, Reyning Canines helps strengthen the bond between dogs and the people who love them.

Meet Peach, Blueberry, Blackberry, and Mango. 🧡

This sweet mom and her three 4-week-old kittens were brought to us after being found in a ditch on the side of the road. Peach was terrified, and her babies had crusty eyes from conjunctivitis.

After an assessment and the care they needed, this little family headed to foster care. Today, Peach and her babies are healthy, safe, and thriving. Now they just need time to grow big and strong!

Meet Bing! 🐾

Bing arrived with Maraschino and two other kittens after experiencing far more than any kitten should at such a young age. Through it all, this little crew has grown stronger, healthier, and ready to find the loving forever homes they deserve.

Bing is an absolute love bug who never stops amazing us with his sweet, affectionate personality. He loves playtime with his brother Maraschino and would make a wonderful addition to most homes.

Meet Maraschino — a little survivor with a heart full of love! 🍒🐾

Maraschino came to us with a litter of kittens who were near the brink, but they fought hard, received the care they needed, and are now thriving. This sweet boy is ready to begin his next chapter in a forever home.

Maraschino is a big sweetheart who purrs all the time and loves sharing life with his brother, Bing. The two have grown up together and really enjoy playing with one another.

He has also lived successfully with other cats and dogs, making him a great fit for many loving homes. Come meet Maraschino — and perhaps Bing, too — and help these resilient boys find the family they deserve! 😻❤️

Meet Snow — a 10-month-old bundle of sweet puppy enthusiasm looking for his next adventure! ❄️🐾

Snow recently came into our care when his family was unable to bring him along during a move. This smart Border Collie/Heeler mix is ready for a fresh start with a family who can help him thrive.

Snow has had a positive experience living with younger children. His experience with other dogs and cats is unknown, but he would do best in a home ready to offer plenty of exercise, structure, patience, and mental stimulation. Snow is the kind of dog who would love having a job to do!

This sweet boy wandered into our care as a stray on Saturday, 8/22. He was found by Petro Travel Center on NY-414 in Waterloo.
He appears to be a young adult, unaltered, in good health, and very sweet!
