Our community is shaped by the people who invest in it every day. Board member, Jeremy Arthur, shared this:

“Leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice. It’s about bringing people together and moving them forward. In Lee County, progress runs on trust. And trust is built in the small things. Showing up, following through, and giving others the credit. Lead where you are. Invest in people. Be present.”

We’re more connected than ever, but real-life community still can’t be replaced.

At the end of the day, people aren’t just looking for information, they want to feel known, and that doesn’t fully happen through a screen. Where does it happen? Well, it happens in real conversations, in noticing how someone’s actually doing, in following up, and in choosing to show up again.

Real-life community builds a different kind of trust that creates a sense of belonging that’s hard to replicate anywhere else.

Over time, that’s what shapes a strong community, people who know each other and are willing to show up for each other.

Shout out to our LLC community! We're so thankful for the leaders we get to build this community with each and every day! Let's continue to stay informed, deepen our awareness of community needs and continue leading with intention in Lee County.

This month’s class session focused on K–12 Education Day, offering a deeper look into the schools shaping the future of kids in Lee County!

From touring Opelika High School, Auburn High School, and Loachapoka High School to hearing directly from superintendents and education leaders, the class gained valuable insight into the opportunities, challenges, and responsibilities within our local education system.

Each conversation reinforced a simple but powerful truth: strong communities are built through strong schools and strong schools are led by people who are deeply committed to the students and families they serve.

The day concluded with perspective from State School Board Representative, Tracie West.

We’re grateful for the leaders who opened their doors, shared their experiences, and continue to invest in the next generation of Lee County!

Lunch was provided by CTE program - hospitality and tourism. Thank you!
