HOST FAMILIES NEEDED ASAP

They arrive July 23rd and are here until Aug 16th. Our Japanes delegation is excited to meet new friends and expereince AMerican Family life. No need to do anything special for the summer, just do what your family does. Delegates can also go to camp, particiapte in fair and many other family activities.

Open to ALL FAMILIES IN NYS - 4-H membership is NOT required

Host families need to be able to provide a bed for their delegate which can be in a room shared with thier host sibling who is the same gender and between the ages of 11 and 19.

Interested in learning how to use a sewing machine? This Saturday, June 20th, there will be a beginner's sewing class at Sew What where you can help sew table decorations and banners for this year's 4-H Fair! Workshop is free but registration is required as seats are limited.

Are you looking for a way to connect to your community? 4-H is in search of volunteers for the 4-H Youth Fair July 28-August 1. Positions include:

Evaluators for projects like photography, baked goods, posters, woodworking, sewing, and garden produce. Evaluators do not need expertise in a craft but do need to be ready to give positive and constructive feedback to youth (5-18) on their projects.

Photographers for livestock shows and other events. Professional or amateur, DSLR or phone, in hand or on a drone we love the photos snapped amidst the business of fair!

Join us for the Drive with Purpose Show Pig Clinic on June 28th from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM at the Ontario County Fairgrounds!

This FREE clinic is designed for youth ages 8–18 and will cover:

✅ Skin & hair care
✅ Feeds & feeding
✅ Pre-show & show day preparation

Cornell PRO‑DAIRY is officially accepting applicants for the 2026–2027 Junior DAIRY LEADER (JDL) program — one of New York’s most impactful youth agriculture leadership experiences.

If you know a motivated 16–19‑year‑old in 11th or 12th grade who’s passionate about dairy, agriculture, or exploring ag-related careers, this is a chance they shouldn’t miss.
