Community Wide Dialogue to End Racism CWD of Auburn & Cayuga County is based on the Syracuse, NY model REQUIRED INFORMATION: Name, address, phone, e-mail.

The program utilizes a form of deliberative democracy, the study circle, to help adults and youth of diverse backgrounds breakdown misconceptions about race and ethnicity, and to work towards complementary action throughout our community to end racial inequity. Discussion topics include stereotyping and its origins, the meaning of white privilege, structural racism and its ramifications, and the p

ower of being an ally. Adult group size is between eight and fifteen, and all groups are led by two trained volunteer facilitators during six two-hour sessions. You may use the Contact Us form on our website, or send us a message via facebook to indicate when you are available. Submit your own best days and times in advance so we can contact you when a circle is scheduled for that time. Circles will be scheduled on different days and at different times to accommodate as many people as possible. You will be asked for your racial or ethnic background in order to balance circles to create the best possible learning experience for everyone. Your contact information will not be given out. Your E-mail address will be added to the CWD mailing list for future news, events and information (unless requested otherwise).
