We're thrilled and grateful to have the support of our local Rotary Clubs as we work to protect the beautiful and important Hemlocks of our Watershed.

We are excited to announce our regional grant was approved!

Six area Rotary clubs are teaming up with OWLA to help treat an invasive species in the Owasco Lake watershed. HWA - Hemlock Woolly Adelgid - does not have any natural predators in the area and has been decimating trees in the watershed. $32,000 will go towards treating trees already affected by HWA.

Watercraft Inspection Stewards:
Help protect our lakes by inspecting boats, educating boaters, and preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species. Perfect for people who enjoy being outdoors and interacting with the public. We are specifically looking to fill more positions in the western Finger Lakes!

Giant Hogweed Technicians:
Work in the field to survey, map, and manage this invasive plant while helping protect ecosystems and communities.

Invasive Species Project Coordinator (new posting!):
Support invasive species programs through coordination, communication, and project organization. A great opportunity for someone who enjoys both environmental work and program management.

These positions are a great fit for students, recent graduates, or anyone passionate about conservation and protecting our local landscapes and waterways.
