A Healthbridge Global team arrived last night in Nepal. We’re here to visit one of our projects, Ark of Hope Medical Clinic in Pokhara. Pokhara and the clinic itself are unaffected by the glacier collapse and the resulting floods you’ve seen on the news. The flooding is mostly isolated to a large river valley about 60 miles east. Where it flowed, it caused massive devastation. Please continue to pray for those affected and for the Nepali people as they care for each other in this tragedy. Today, we will learn more about what our partners are doing in the rural regions they work and whether there is a role for Healthbridge to play.

🚨 URGENT PRAYER UPDATE FROM NEPAL 🙏

Three Healthbridge staff members, one board member, and three of our partners will soon be visiting our Ark of Hope project in Pokhara. We are grateful to share that our project leaders there are safe, but other parts of Nepal have been devastated by severe flooding. 🇳🇵

Our partners shared:

“By God’s grace, Pokhara is doing well and the affected area is far from Pokhara. We are all safe and okay, but some areas in Nepal have been devastated by massive floods, wiping out thousands of homes and causing great panic and destruction.

Please pray for the safety and protection of those affected, especially those who are still alive and waiting for rescue.

Pray also for the rescue teams and for much-needed food, shelter, medical care, and relief to reach the victims.

Please keep Nepal in your prayers.” 🙏

These images are difficult to see, but they represent real families, real loss, and communities in urgent need of help and hope. 💙

Instead, we collaborate on projects that respond to genuine healthcare needs recognized by local community members, medical professionals, and government leaders. 🩺

Those needs look different in every community we serve, which is why listening matters so much.

By partnering with trusted local leaders to identify needs and shape solutions, Healthbridge Global's projects create lasting impact. 🤝

Our model serves individuals, strengthens communities, builds trust, and connects real healthcare needs with meaningful opportunities to share the hope of the gospel.

What do we mean when we say we partner with indigenous doctors and leaders? 🌍

It means we do not show up with a pre-packaged plan and ask local leaders to carry it out.

We start by asking better questions:

Who has God already called?
What needs are already clear in this community?
Are they a trusted local leader?
Do they approach healthcare with gospel-centered intentionality?
Will their plan be sustainable over time?

At Healthbridge Global, the partner vetting process is deeply important because it is not just what we DO that matters. It is who we do it WITH.

We look for leaders with a calling, a clear vision, a great reputation, a real understanding of local healthcare needs, gospel-centered purpose, and a plan for long-term sustainability.

When the right leaders and the right project intersect, that is where we see the beauty of healthcare connect to the hope of the gospel.

🌍 Reintroducing Christina, our Executive Assistant and Grant Coordinator!

Christina first came to Healthbridge Global as a grant writer, volunteering her time and talent to help move the mission forward. 📝 Today, she serves as our Executive Assistant, helping support the people, projects, details, and relationships that keep the work moving behind the scenes.

Christina has a long-standing heart for people who are often overlooked, neglected, or abandoned. For the past two decades, she has mentored young women, advocated for the vulnerable, and walked alongside people in hard places with compassion and hope. 🤝

That same heart is part of what drew her to Healthbridge Global. She loves seeing local leaders equipped, communities cared for, and the hope of the gospel offered in practical, tangible ways. ✨
